Within this project high-temperature fuel cells on a passenger ship are tested. Implementation is planned in two steps. The first phase includes the development and testing of fuel cells as a modular system for operational support on board.
The optimized system configuration will then be developed into a decentralized energy concept for highly efficient use with power and heat cogeneration in various areas of a passenger ship. In addition to the high efficiency of the fuel cells, alternative secondary energy providers contribute to emission reduction.
